Bridal makeup will always hold a special place in my heart 🤍

Long before the salon, before lashes and brows, I remember being completely fascinated by bridal beauty. I used to spend my pocket money on a £5 copy of #asianatv magazine and sit for hours admiring the brides, the jewellery, the makeup… dreaming about being part of moments like that one day.

Over 15 years later, that same love for bridal is what led me into beauty full-time and eventually to creating Makeup & Beauty Bar — where I now have the privilege of looking after brides throughout their wedding journey, and pampering clients all year round.

Being trusted with someone’s wedding morning will never feel ordinary to me. It’s always such a special moment to be part of.

FEBRUARY ROUNDUP- valentines month and and my first month back to the salon after my surgery.

4. My friend is the queen of hosting, she hosted the best galentines massive dinner and it was epic. I dressed up and felt cute.
5. The month I started baking
6. Feeling cute after my fresh maintenance apps I do for my self soft brow lami and lash lift.
7. Forever trying new meals and this was was a trust the process kind of meal- ramen for the first time and it was a hit!
8. I went to a clay class and made a cute cup! (Even tho the handle fell off)

This little girl grew up in a single-parent home, moving from place to place, learning far too early what it meant to be strong.

The baby in her arms is my little brother — my whole world growing up.

Life was heavy, but one thing never changed: I always wanted to help people.

For a while I thought that meant law… then counselling… until I discovered beauty.

As someone who was bullied for my looks and constantly told I wasn’t good enough, helping other women feel beautiful became deeply personal.

I didn’t start this business with money, connections, or an easy path.
I started with determination, empathy, and a refusal to let my past define my future.

If my work or space isn’t for you, that’s fine — beauty is personal. But writing long essays to tear someone down isn’t helpful or kind. In a world like this, it costs absolutely nothing to be kind, or simply stay silent if you have nothing nice to say. 💗

SABRINA-INSPIRED, BUT MAKE IT HER

For this ball glam, we took inspiration from Sabrina Carpenter’s signature soft glow — but made it completely bespoke.
We adapted the tones to suit her deeper features, kept her naturally bold brows, and opted for a soft brown wing instead of black… and I’m officially obsessed. 🤎

Proof that inspiration is just a starting point — great makeup is always a collaboration.

After years of underwhelming lash lifts from elsewhere, my regular lash extension client Anna finally gave me the green light to try a lift on her… and she was blown away 🪄

Even with shorter lashes, when the treatment is performed correctly, it should never feel underwhelming. You won’t get mega-long falsie vibes unless your natural lashes are already long – but what you should get is a clean, visible, and flattering lift that enhances what you naturally have.

Of course, there are exceptions – medical conditions, pregnancy, or damaged lashes can affect lift results. But most clients, even those with shorter lashes, leave feeling pleasantly surprised at how defined, lifted or curled, and fluttery their natural lashes can look.

Sad news though… now I won’t see Anna for another few months instead of every few weeks (Lash lift life…)
