FIND YOUR PERFECT STYLE
Classic Lashes
Classic Lashes are individual extensions meticulously placed on each of your natural lashes in a 1:1 ratio, meaning one lash fibre is attached to one natural lash. This timeless style is perfect for anyone seeking a polished and natural look. The amount of natural lashes you have will determine the fullness of the set, which is why I do not recommend classic lashes for sparse or damaged lashes, as individual lashes will not effectively cover gaps and may not wear well. I offer four different treatments to cater to various preferences and budgets, ensuring everyone can find their ideal fit:
BOHO CLASSIC
The least full option, Boho lashes are less than a half set of classics, offering a soft, natural enhancement. Think of it as an express set, perfect for the girl on the go, but not designed for longevity. The lashing process takes 35 minutes, with the final 5 minutes dedicated to post-treatment steps. Boho lashes are not eligible for infills and are not recommended for those with sparse natural lashes.

FULL SET CLASSIC
My signature classic lash set takes 2 hours and is suitable for everyone. Each of your natural lashes is lashed to create a “better-than-mascara” look. This set is eligible for infills every 2-3 weeks, ensuring long-lasting beauty.

LUXE CLASSIC
Luxe lashes are a half set of classics, providing a fuller but still understated look. This 1 hour 20-minute treatment offers more coverage than Boho lashes, making it ideal for those wanting a slightly enhanced natural appearance. Luxe lashes are also not eligible for infills.

CLASSIC XL
Designed for individuals with an exceptional amount of natural lashes, such as those with longer lash lines or naturally voluminous lashes. Classic XL provides a hybrid-like effect while still using individual extensions. This 2.5-hour treatment is eligible for infills and offers the fullest classic lash look.
PLEASE NOTE: If you do not have a high natural lash density, this set cannot be booked. The next step up from a full set of classics in that case would be a hybrid set for better coverage and fullness.

Hybrid Lashes
Hybrid lashes combine the best of both worlds by blending individual classic extensions with light volume fans. This style is perfect for those with sparse or mature lashes, as it provides a textured and dimensional look. Hybrid lashes can also mimic a classic effect for clients whose natural lashes are not suitable for classic sets, as individual lashes won't cover gaps well. They are a great choice for those who want to slowly ease into volume lashes without going fully dramatic and are also perfect for clients who love the balanced hybrid look.
Volume Lashes
Volume Lashes are crafted using handmade fans, where multiple ultra- thin extensions are applied to each natural lash. This technique creates a lush, strip-lash appearance that can be adjusted to look either dramatic or soft, depending on the fan size. Volume lashes are perfect for clients seeking a more glamorous or flattering style. Each set takes approximately 2.5 hours and is eligible for infills every 2-3 weeks.
MID VOLUME
mid glam is the middle of the range. perfect you want the strip lash look but not super full.
The levels of volume does not refer to lengths or styling but only the fullness. Mid Volume is a good middle ground start if your a bit nervous to go to mega volume. You can gradually go to mega volume if desired.
MEGA VOLUME
Mega volume lashes are the fullest and most dramatic option available. Using ultra-lightweight fans with more extensions per lash, this set achieves the ultimate bold look. Ideal for those who want maximum density and a striking effect, mega volume lashes are also completed in 2.5 hours and are eligible for infills every 2-3 weeks.

LASH MAINTENANCE- INFILLS
To maintain the fresh, flawless look of your eyelash extensions, we recommend scheduling infill appointments every 2-3 weeks after your initial full set. This routine helps ensure your lashes remain as stunning as day one.
Why Are Infills Necessary?
Our natural lashes undergo a continuous growth cycle, shedding approximately 1-5 lashes per eye daily.
As each natural lash falls out, the attached extension is lost as well. Infills address these gaps by replenishing lost extensions and removing any that have grown out, restoring symmetry and style to your lash line.
Eligibility for Infills
Infills are available for select lash sets, including Full Set, Classic XL, and all Volume sets. To qualify for an infill, you should have at least 50% of your lash extensions remaining. Appointments extending beyond 3 weeks may require a new full set to achieve the desired fullness.
We offer eyelash extension removal services for extensions applied elsewhere. Please schedule this service separately online, as it requires a distinct appointment time and incurs its own fee.
Factors Influencing Infill Frequency
The need for infills varies among clients, with many returning at the 2-week mark. Several factors can influence this timing:
-
Lash Growth Rate: Individual hair growth cycles can affect how quickly extensions shed.
-
Seasonal Changes: Environmental factors, such as seasonal lash shedding, can impact retention.
-
Hormonal Fluctuations: Changes in hormone levels may affect hair growth and shedding patterns.
-
Medical Conditions: Certain health issues can influence lash health and longevity.
-
Lifestyle and Aftercare: Daily activities and adherence to aftercare routines play a significant role in extension durability.
We tailor our infill services based on the work required to maintain your desired lash look.
Eyelash Extension Removal

Why Choose Professional Removal?
Attempting to remove eyelash extensions at home can lead to:
-
Natural Lash Damage: Improper techniques may cause your natural lashes to be pulled out or weakened.
-
Eye Irritation or Infection: Untrained handling and non-sterile tools increase the risk of complications.
Professional removal ensures a painless, relaxing experience where you can rest comfortably while we safely take care of your lashes.

Policy on Infill Services for Extensions Applied Elsewhere
At Makeup & Beauty Bar, we maintain high standards for eyelash extensions to ensure the health of your natural lashes and the quality of our work. Therefore, we have specific guidelines regarding infills for extensions applied by other technicians:
-
Mandatory Removal and Full Set Application: Clients seeking infills on extensions applied elsewhere must book both a removal and a full set application of their desired lash style. This approach allows us to assess and address any issues from the previous application and ensures the best results.
-
Assessment of Existing Extensions: During your appointment, we'll evaluate the condition of your current extensions. If they meet our standards—correct lengths and diameters, no lashes stuck together, appropriate adhesive use, and suitable lengths—we may proceed with an infill, provided at least 50% of the extensions are intact.
-
Time Considerations: The time required for removal varies based on the quality of the existing extensions. Severely botched applications can take up to an hour to remove safely, as patience and care are essential to prevent discomfort and protect your natural lashes.
-
Pricing Structure:
-
Standard Removal: from £25
-
Botched Application Removal: Starting from £40
-
Infill of Another Technician's Work: Full set price of your chosen lash style plus a £25 fee
-
Please note that we reserve the right to refuse infill services on extensions that do not meet our standards to ensure the health of your natural lashes and the quality of our work.
By adhering to these guidelines, we aim to provide you with the best possible results while maintaining the integrity of your natural lashes.
Important Things to Know Before Booking:
Patch Tests & Allergies
-
Lash extensions: Patch tests are not available as they can give a false sense of security. It typically takes 3 full sets to identify a true allergy.
-
If you have a history of reactions to lash glue, sensitivities to the pads or anything eye related please inform us before booking.
-
If a reaction occurs: Don’t worry—you’re in good hands. I treat any signs of allergy as an emergency and will respond within the same day to advise you on the best course of action. Please contact me directly if you have concerns.
Considerations for Clients with Darker Skin Tones
We recognise that classic lash extensions may not always provide the desired visibility on deeper skin tones. To ensure a satisfying result, we recommend opting for our Volume Sets, which offer more pronounced fullness and definition.
-
Please note that due to the unique characteristics of Afro-Caribbean lashes, additional time is required to apply extensions safely and effectively. Therefore, we allocate 2.5 hours for these appointments, with prices starting from £90, even for Mid Volume sets. This approach ensures the health of your natural lashes while achieving the desired aesthetic.
-
By tailoring our services to meet diverse needs and preferences, we aim to provide each client with a personalised and luxurious lash experience.
Contraindications & Contra-actions
For the safety and optimal results of our lash lift and lash extension services, please review the following guidelines. These criteria are designed to protect your health and ensure a successful treatment. In some cases, a GP fit note may be required—please inform us in advance to avoid any inconvenience or loss of payment.
Contraindications
Contraindications are conditions that may prevent you from receiving a lash lift or lash extension treatment. Please do not book an appointment if you have any of the following:
-
Eye Infections & Inflammatory Conditions:
-
Inflammation such s Keratitis, swelling, or hypersensitivity around the eye area
-
Any specific bacterial and viral infections which are classified serious conditions such as conjunctivitis, styes, impetigo, lice, lash mites, herpes simplex, shingles which all require medical attention.
-
-
Skin Disorders & Allergies:
-
Recent skin diseases or disorders affecting the eye area
-

-
-
Medical Conditions & Treatments:
-
Recent eye surgery (within the last year), including laser eye surgery (avoid lash lifts for at least 6 weeks post-procedure)
-
Ongoing chemotherapy or serious systemic conditions (e.g., diabetic retinopathy)
-
Trichotillomania
-
Glaucoma or other serious eye disorders (e.g., blepharitis, alopecia)
-
-
Hormonal Factors & Pregnancy:
-
Pregnancy and the postpartum period (typically around one year) involve significant hormonal changes that can impact the effectiveness and retention of lash extensions. Additionally, during pregnancy, lying flat for extended periods—often required for lash application—can be uncomfortable or pose health concerns. If you are pregnant, we strongly advise against getting lash extensions due to these factors. However, if you choose to proceed, please inform us in advance so we can discuss alternative positioning, such as lying on your side, to ensure your comfort and safety. Please note that if you decide to undergo the treatment without disclosing your pregnancy, the salon cannot assume responsibility for any unsatisfactory results, and no refunds will be issued. We strongly encourage open communication to ensure the best possible outcome for you and your baby.
-
Use of hormonal medications (please consult with your GP)
-
Note: Certain conditions may require a GP fit note. Please provide this documentation if requested.
Contra-actions
Contra-actions refer to adverse reactions or unwanted outcomes that can occur during or after your treatment. These are generally manageable but should be considered before booking:
-
Mild to Moderate Reactions:
-
Brittle or damaged lashes that may not hold the treatment effectively
-
Small, faint red stripes on the skin near the treatment area due to pressure or fumes
-
Watery eyes or mild eye irritation (note: excessive tearing or streaming eyes can affect the treatment outcome)
-
-
Post-Procedure Considerations:
-
Hay fever or rhinitis, which may cause additional irritation
-
Recent cosmetic procedures (e.g., permanent makeup) – wait at least 2 weeks before receiving a lash lift
-
-
More Serious Reaction:
-
If you have claustrophobia or anxiety related to having their eyes closed , lash extensions may be challenging due to the need to keep your eyes closed for a long time, but discussing your concerns with us beforehand we can discuss if you'll be suitable for the treatment.
-
Contra-actions are typically less severe than contraindications and can often be managed during or after the treatment. However, if you experience any significant discomfort or adverse reactions, please notify us immediately so we can address them promptly.
By adhering to these guidelines, we can work together to achieve the best possible results while prioritising your safety and comfort. If you have any questions or concerns about these contraindications or contra-actions, please do not hesitate to contact us before booking your appointment.
Pre-Care & How to Arrive for Your Appointment:
For the best results, please follow these steps before your lash appointment:
-
Arrive with no eye makeup. Avoid wearing strip lashes at least 2 days prior as residue can remain and affect retention.
-
Makeup residue: If you arrive with makeup, time will be taken from your appointment to fully cleanse the area, which may result in fewer lashes being applied. Clean lashes = better retention!
-
If you wear contact lenses, bring a case to remove them before the appointment.
-
Avoid caffeine on the day. Caffeine stays in your system for hours and can cause eye twitching, making it harder to achieve flawless results.
-
Relaxation is key. Your appointment will be a silent, stress-free experience. I’ll play music or a podcast—whatever helps you unwind and our lash bed is heated. Please keep your phone on silent so I can focus on creating the perfect set for you.
-
Please ensure you arrive with a clean, makeup-free face. If you arrive with makeup or any condition that delays your appointment, additional surcharges may apply or we may need to reduce your treatment time, which could affect the final results.
During Your Appointment
To ensure a precise and safe application of lash extensions, we designate all appointments as silent. This practice minimises facial movements, reducing the risk of complications such as adhesive contact with the eye, partial eye opening, or bruising.
We encourage you to relax during your session. Enjoy the ambient music or podcast to listen to in our luxury salon, complete with heated beds. This serene environment not only enhances your comfort but also contributes to achieving perfect results every time.
Your comfort is our priority—if you experience any sensitivity or discomfort during the procedure, please inform us immediately.
Pregnant or Breastfeeding?
Please read this first...
Pregnancy is a unique and transformative time, and while we love making you feel beautiful, it's important to understand how this period can affect your experience with lash extensions.
We want to be transparent so you can make the best choice for yourself and your baby.
Why Lash Extensions May Not Be Suitable During Pregnancy:
-
Higher Risk of Allergic Reactions
Hormonal changes can increase your skin’s sensitivity, even if you've never reacted before. If a reaction does occur, medical treatment options during pregnancy may be limited. -
Stronger Sensitivity to Lash Adhesive Fumes
The fumes from lash adhesives may feel more intense and uncomfortable, particularly if you’re experiencing heightened senses or nausea. -
Lash Retention Can Be Affected
Hormone fluctuations can speed up lash shedding or weaken natural lashes, meaning your extensions may not last as long. You may require more frequent infills than usual both during pregnancy and after childbirth, due to changes in the hair growth cycle. -
Lying Flat Becomes Risky After 12 Weeks
After the first trimester, lying flat on your back for extended periods may restrict blood flow to the baby. Lash appointments can last up to 2.5 hours, so this positioning may no longer be suitable. -
General Discomfort & Fatigue
Pregnancy often brings fatigue, restlessness, and physical discomfort. Lash appointments require lying still with eyes closed, which some clients find overwhelming during pregnancy.
If You Still Wish to Proceed
We respect your decision and are happy to adapt where possible. However, it’s essential that you understand and accept the following:
-
We must be informed of your pregnancy in advance
We may decline to proceed without this information, and we cannot take responsibility for results or reactions if you choose not to disclose it. -
Treatment time will be extended
We’ll allow additional time to include short breaks, repositioning, or even splitting your set into two shorter appointments. -
Side-lying positioning will need to be done
We will try to make you as comfortable as possible, especially if you are further along in your pregnancy. -
You’ll need to come in more regularly
Expect to need shorter sets or more frequent infills to maintain your lashes during and after pregnancy. -
You must consult your midwife or medical provider
As beauty professionals, we cannot give medical advice or guidance about product safety, medication, or treatment approval. Always speak to your healthcare provider before booking.
Important: Consent & Liability
By choosing to proceed with lash extensions during pregnancy, you acknowledge that you understand the risks and agree that the salon will not be held responsible for any sensitivity, poor retention, or discomfort experienced as a result. No refunds will be issued for unsatisfactory results linked to pregnancy-related changes.
Aftercare Is Essential
-
Wash your lashes twice daily* with an oil-free cleanser to remove dirt and oils that can cause premature shedding.
-
Avoid steam, heat, and heavy oils around your eyes for the first 24-48 hours after application.
-
Use a clean lash wand daily to keep lashes fluffy and separated.
-
Avoid picking, pulling, or rubbing your lash extensions—this can damage your natural lashes.
-
Book infills every 2-3 weeks to maintain fullness. If less than 50% of lashes remain, a full set will be required.
-
We do not take responsibility for treatment longevity or results if aftercare is not followed.
- Never wear strip lashes on top of your lift and avoid heavy eye makeup which requires a lot of rubbing to remove.
-
Not purchasing recommended aftercare products from us may impact the longevity and overall outcome of your treatment.
